MEDIOR MANUAL QA/AUTOMATION

Position Description.
A Manual QA/Automation role with 3-6 years of experience typically involves a combination of manual testing and automation tasks within the software development life cycle.
Here's what you might expect.
Manual Testing.
You'll conduct thorough testing of software applications or systems to identify defects, bugs, or areas for improvement.
This involves creating test cases, executing test scenarios, and documenting results.
Test Planning and Strategy.
You'll participate in test planning sessions to outline testing objectives, scope, and strategies.
This includes defining test coverage, identifying test environments, and estimating testing efforts.
Test Case Design and Execution.
You'll create test cases based on requirements and design specifications, ensuring adequate test coverage across different functional areas.
You'll execute test cases manually and report any issues found during testing.
Defect Reporting and Management.
You'll document defects in a defect tracking system, providing clear and detailed descriptions along with steps to reproduce.
You may also participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize and assign defects for resolution.
Automation Scripting and Execution.
Depending on the project's needs, you may develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
These scripts help in regression testing and can speed up the testing process.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
You might be involved in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure early detection of issues and faster delivery of software updates.
Collaboration.
You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the development process.
This may involve participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Knowledge Sharing and Mentoring.
With your experience, you may be called upon to mentor junior team members, share best practices, and contribute to the improvement of testing processes within the organization.
