We cant wait to welcome you!The RoleThe FF&E Design Sourcing department at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts supports the success of mulitple brand prototypical interior design programs through the active sourcing and maintenance of vendors specified on these programs.
The Manager, FF&E Design Sourcing is responsible for supporting Wyndhams FF&E Vendor programs and vendor partnerships developed under the pillars of transparency, feedback, quality and competitive pricing.
The manager will work to support pricing initiatives, vendor bidding and selection processes, vendor evaluation processes, program pricing and marketing, responding to sourcing requests, and managing established FF&E programs.
The manager will be responsible for monitoring the performance of suppliers against contractual standards and will collaborate with vendors to achieve continuous improvements in performance, to support the owner first culture of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR).
They will be responsible for regular touch points with contracted vendors to identify and problem solve for current and potential issues and identify areas of opportunity to deliver better cost, product, and experience to owners.
Will ensure effective delivery and quality of product and services to our franchisees.
The manager will assist with expanding our vendor network by identifying and evaluating potential vendor partners based on strategic needs.
This includes attending industry events, site visits, and other opportunities for vendor assessment.
The manager will work with the Director FFE Sourcing to develop and issue RFP/RFQ documents manage the bidding process to ensure requirements and deliverables are met.
They will negotiate pricing to hit project targets set by the leadership and coordinate at all steps during the bidding process.
The manager will maintain current pricing and specification documents to ensure active programs are regularly updated.
The manager will maintain an active sample library during and after sample evaluation.
What youll do Regularly communicate and get feedback from key franchisees and tweak the process as needed to create further efficiencies.
Monitor, manage, analyze vendor performance to help ensure effective delivery and quality of product and service to our franchises, and improve franchisee service and satisfaction.
Respond to sourcing needs to provide resources for our owners.
Perform pricing analysis on active projects against contracted FF&E quotes.
Key internal clients of the FF&E Design Sourcing team include Architecture, Design & Construction, Brand Standards, Franchise Operations amongst others.
Work with Director FF&E Design Sourcing to achieve Wyndham business objectives through special projects and maintenance of established programs.
Develop and issue RFP/RFQ materials for pricing analysis and vendor selection, and project manage incoming bids and samples for review and analysis by Director FF&E Design Sourcing and interior design team.
Regularly manage and maintain active pricing databases and published materials to support our vendor programs.
Collaboration with the Architecture, Design & Construction team to ensure designs are feasible and affordable to franchisees.
Compile and analyze vendor activity data to produce periodic internal reports, as needed.
Work with Director FF&E Design Sourcing to identify and source new FF&E partners and potential partners to further support long term goals and objectives, and to ensure that the most cost effective products and services are available.
Coordinate with vendors as needed on customer issues and problem resolution to foster program success.
Will work with vendors on resolution of issues at the property level.
Monitor the performance of suppliers against contractual standards and collaborate with vendors to achieve continuous improvements in costs and performance.
Attend industry events and other opportunities to grown a robust potential vendor network.
Visit current and potential manufacturer partner factory locations to evaluate production quality, systems, and production potential, and foster vendor partnerships.
This role requires travel up to 40% of the time, including occasional trips with short notice.
Youll be successful if you have Working knowledge of strategic sourcing process, procedures, and contracts.
FF&E market awareness and industry trends (opportunities, competition, long-range forecasts).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing sources/costs (materials, commodities, labor, facilities, special technologies, manufacturing processes and services).
Understanding of product development, processes, and related functions (Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution).
Understanding of general auditing procedures/guidelines.
Knowledge and understanding of systems technology related to sourcing, procurement, B2B, and electronic commerce.
Passionate customer service and support.
Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives at once.
Must have highly developed communication and relationship skills.
Must be detail-oriented and extremely skilled at managing financial data.
Must be able to work effectively with minimal oversight.
Builds and manages strong relationships with multiple competing suppliers, optimizing performance within category segments.
Required Qualifications/Experience BA or BS in interior design or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience sourcing FF&E or related interior design experience, required.
Minimum 3-5 years contract negotiation experience, preferred.
A demonstrated understanding of Hospitality FF&E procurement and project management.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture strong partnerships across different constituencies including internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
Strong PC Skills (MS Office).
Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management and presentation skills.
Preferred - experience with E-Procurement applications such as Birchstreet and Bidding Applications (RFP, Reverse Auctions) such as Ariba or GeP.
