LONG-FORM YOUTUBE DOCUMENTARY EDIT

I'm looking for an experienced video editor who excels in delivering a story led, documentary esque project for two-three YouTube video that exceed 10 minutes in length.
The specifics.
I visited Africa in January and I’m looking to hire someone to compile my footage into two to three videos - or however many stories you think are there.
One is about the trip as a whole focused on a project I went to research and promote, and the other is a video about craft (specifically around natural materials and resources).
If you like woodworking and craft and music, you might find it particularly fun.
I’m building a guitar made of wood I went to salvage from the African bush and then selling it to raise money for the local conservancy effort.
This YouTube video collection is my promo to make people donate to possibly win the guitar.
It documents my finding the wood and salvaging it whilst also hanging out with friends and learning about the local land.
Sometimes we do some woodworking together etc and I want it all as part as the narrative.
I’m looking for someone who can edit with the odd bit of humour in tone with my current channel, and who also keeps engagement high and story at the centre.
Lots of personality left in, and as the footage is temperamental someone who can embrace imperfection and distract the viewer with editing skills.
I’d work with you as close as you needed for the bits that require narration etc, and we’d have a meeting whenever you needed it / stay in close contact.
More questions the better and I think I’m pretty easy to get on with and sound out.
Basically I’m looking for someone who is.
- Skilled in creating a compelling narrative for my raw footage - Excellent understanding and implementation of the editing style - Capable of working with longer video durations - Ability to incorporate any necessary elements to enhance the story, as the specifics have been left open-ended.
You will have prior editing experience and a portfolio exhibiting work with a similar editing style and video length, although I can use my imagination if you think you’d be good at this but haven’t done a similar project.
Flexibility and creativity are must-have skills in the absence of specific elements to be included.
Budget - open to negotiation so I just ticked one of the recommended budgets below but, I’m happy to receive quotes and hear your intentions for the edit.
I know it is a highly skilled job and I’m not looking to lowball anyone if you’re good.
