We have a project which allows to build a specific layer in the data architecture capable of receiving multi source data, where all relevant industrial data is accessible together - one single source of truth.
We rely on the Aveva PI system to collect, store, and manage time stamped data.
It is a central MES server located in the cloud, connecting to each site’s MES (PI or Aspen IP21), aggregating data and structure.
We are looking for a consultant to design, deploy and support this solution during the start phase.
How the day by day looks like in this job? Be aware of the overall ecosystem around Aveva PI system in the Cloud, which we call “Ring 1”.
That includes local times (Ring 0) with Seeq and Eschbach products.
Be responsible for the PI system.
installation, configuration, ring0/ring1 connection.
Network flow definition and servers implementation - Incident troubleshooting and management Provide support for the application when required.
Be part of the project committee for new use cases / sites implementation (this is a remote activity with a possible trip to Lyon, France, for the project follow-up meetings) For this specific job we need people with.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment (PI / IP21).
Having a good expertise of Aveva (OSisoft) PI system.
PI SE, PI vision, PI Builder, PI SMT Having relational database skills.
(MYSQL, Oracle, SQLplus, … etc) Master or knowledge in interface config of PI RDBMS and PI to PI.
Service management.
Network knowledge (data flows, protocols, ports, encryption, … etc) Knowledge of TCP/IP Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers (64-bit), Windows -bit) Microsoft Active Directory (basic knowledge) Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, VBA scripting Knowledge of Agile methods (using JIRA - Optional) Having the knowledge of AspenTech IP21 historians is optional IoT technology is a plus Fluent in English (French is a plus) Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal We care a lot about cultural fit, so we like if you are.
