Job Description.
The Team (COMPANY NAME) endeavors to develop all of our software applications in-house to service and support our numerous laboratories globally.
With hundreds of thousands of clinical diagnostic tests performed every day, the laboratories of the (COMPANY NAME) clinical diagnostic services business line strive to ensure that every patient, wherever he or she lives, has access to the most specialized and most innovative techniques for diagnosis, monitoring and therapeutic decisions.
Such activities require extensive planning and organization which can be augmented by the use of technology.
Our Clinical LIMS Europe Program will extensively be used as the central Laboratory Information Management System throughout Europe, this role is crucial in defining and delivering the product roadmap.
Job Description In a nutshell In the role, you will work with a dedicated, enthusiastic team developing enhancements to multiple java-based applications and services used by multiple customers operating laboratories across the EU.
Where will you be based and what business will you support? Portugal based is preferred around the Lisbon area is best for us, as the job is hybrid working.
How can you help us? As a Java Developer, you will actively interact with Product Owners and other stakeholders to.
* Estimate the complexity and the workload * Choose the most appropriate technical solution to meet the user requirements * Reach the optimal requirement artifact * Design, develop and deploy changes to applications according to the customers' and business users' requirements.
* Support the applications in collaboration with the other team members * Working together with other team members (Engineers/QA) to ensure high quality of delivered solutions.
* Ensuring good practices and high quality standards are implemented and followed Qualifications.
Are you our kind of extraordinary? * 2+ years of experience developing solutions using Java and Spring Boot * 2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL databases * 2+ years of experience in Angular 2+ * Solid knowledge in AWS * Strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferably, but Oracle acceptable) * Some experience developing on and for Linux platforms * Experience with docker (image build and container management) would be a bonus * Strong knowledge of Agile software development practices, particularly Scrum and/or Kanban * Clear experience in collaboration with Product Owners and Software Architect(s) * Some Experience in test driven development and test automation * Comfortable in unit testing and mocking with java * Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions * Knowledge of Typescript would be a bonus As the role and (COMPANY NAME)' IT Talent Acquisition team are international, please ensure to submit your application in English.
