FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS MANAGER

Job Description The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (Portugal - Human Health), will be responsible for managing and overseeing all local planning, forecasting & reporting activities and will provide finance business support to the local organization.
In this role you will report to the Finance Director (Portugal) and will work closely with our Leadership team as well as regional and global Finance teams and Business Service Center (BSC) Prague.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to.
Lead and manage a team of 3 direct reports - provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the team members to ensure high performance and professional development.
Lead and coordinate the market effort of developing Budgets/Forecasts, Long Range Operating Plans, mid-month estimates.
collaborate with relevant stakeholders on gathering inputs, validating assumptions, having joint accountability with the business for the accuracy and reliability of forecasts.
Coordinate the preparation of timely and accurate management reporting.
highlighting key insights and trends, tracking performance against forecasts to understand and clearly articulate the drivers.
Act as a Business Partner to Business Leaders and Leadership Team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
providing financial analysis, financial insights to facilitate decision making, proactively identify risks and opportunities and provide suggestions on appropriate course of actions, provide recommendations on resources allocation to maximize value creation.
Coordinate preparation of review materials for business and financial reviews, lead financial presentations to local and regional senior leaders.
Supports monthly close process inclusive of accrual evaluations, balance sheet reviews and approvals of manual journal entries.
Reviews credit notes requests.
Oversight and collaborate with local team and Business Service Center (BSC) Prague on OTC areas.
factoring management, receivables risks overview, credit limits overview, etc.
Partners with local Accounting Lead to enforce financial controls, regulations and supports Audit requirements.
Ensure effective and timely communication with Business Service Center (BSC) Prague, Regional/ HQ COE's regarding key deliverables and support.
Identifies, designs, and takes a lead in improvements in Finance processes, promotes continuous improvement and shares best practices across business and markets.
Co-represents the company as an executive, registered in the Commercial registry.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience.
Education.
Bachelor/Master degree in Business Economic, Finance, or Accounting.
At least 7 years of experience in financial positions (controlling or FP&A).
Proven track record within a similar commercial Finance Business Partnering role.
Language Requirements.
Fluency in English and Portuguese Excellent analytical and business acumen skills - ability to identify and understand trends, business drivers and apply financial acumen and business knowledge to guide business decisions and improve business outcomes and solutions Effective communication skills - ability to deliver messages to stakeholders at different levels including senior leaders Business partnering skills – ability to identify, engage, collaborate and influence appropriate stakeholders ensuring commitment to actions that support specific work outcome Ability to take Ownership.
setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks Ability to establish action plans to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.
Solid knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, etc.
Knowledge of the Portuguese pharmaceutical/Healthcare environment is a plus Previous experience in people management will be a plus.
The person must be based in Portugal.
