Oil & Gas project – Emergency & Security/Access Coordinator Job Description We are currently seeking an emergency & Security / Access Coordinator, to join a Construction Management team based in Sines, to be permanently assigned to our project of green transition, reporting to HSES Manager.
The HSE Emergency and Security Coordinator, will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and assets within the project.
Will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing emergency response plans, security protocols and access plans, as well as interacting and participating in the existing Refinery emergency prevention and response plans.
This position requires a strong understanding of health, safety, and security practices, as well as effective communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities.
1.
Emergency /Crisis Preparedness and Response.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency/crisis response plans for various scenarios within the EPCm • Conduct regular drills and exercises to test emergency procedures and ensure staff readiness.
• Provide guidance during emergencies and lead incident response efforts.

Security/Access Management.
• Implement security protocols to safeguard personnel, facilities, and assets.
• Monitor access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarms.
• Investigate security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activities.
3.
Training and Education.
• Provide training to employees on emergency procedures, security awareness, and safety best practices.
• Organize fire fighting workshops, and firefighting standards.
• Keep staff informed about potential risks and preventive measures.
4.
Communication and Reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of emergency incidents, drills, and emergency related activities.
• Communicate emergency updates and security advisories to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare reports for management.
5.
Collaboration.
• Coordinate with Refinery local emergency services and first responders.
• Participate in Refinery fire fighting reviews and commitees.
• Participate in cross-functional teams related to crisis management Job Requirements and Qualifications.
• Qualification as “Técnico Superior de Higiene, Saúde e Segurança no Trabalho”, Cap.
IV minimum.
• Minimum five years of experience in Oil & Gas/green energy Industry.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Experience in emergency response, and security/access roles.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.
., incident management systems, access control software).
