If this describes you, and you are looking to join a business where you can really add value, it is time to consider joining NBS!   Position Summary Develops and delivers brand identity guidelines (digital and PDF) and related assets to support Design Excellence at Nestlé.
Under the guidance of the Brand Design Lead or SBU Design Lead, role supports Nestlé Brands to accelerate the creation and update of brand identities to power coherent, accurate, and efficient utilization across all relevant contact points.
Partners with Global Design, the Brand's Strategic Design Agency, and downstream users of guidelines (e.
.
Design Agencies, Marketing Teams, Content Studios and other IMS streams) to continuously improve and evolve the digital guidance to effectively apply and execute brand identity guidance along with adapting Global Brand Assets to ensure fit-for-use at the direction of requesting Zone or Markets.
The Brand Identity Designer works independently; handling many projects at one time, faithfully adhering to existing guidance issued by the Brand Guardian and collaborates in a team environment.
When required, the role may involve interaction with the Brand Guardian and/or the Strategic Design Agency when further guidance or input is needed.
A day in the life of...
-Creates best in class digital guidelines, applied to Global template (in Frontify) and content direction provided by Brand Guardian teams and/or Strategic Design Agencies.
Responsible for updating these guidelines as required.
-Develops and updates PDF-based Brand Communication Standard for assigned Brand(s) following the Global guidance.
Involves collaborating closely with SBU and Strategic Design Agency to ensure accuracy and curation of content, adjustment, or creation of visual exhibits for the document, and drafting of explanatory copy in line with global best practice.
-Adapts Brand Identity assets as per SBU, Zone or Market requests, closely following established SBU brand guidance, and delivering master assets to Nestlé Content Hub ready for application by Markets.
-Partners with internal and external design partners to oversee the localization of customized elements of a brand identity (for instance illustration, photography, typography, etc), in line with the Global Standards defined by the SBU and their partner Strategic Design Agency, and according to the Zone/Market needs.
-Supports SBU Brand Team and/or Brand Design Lead in visualizing brand guidance in accordance with the brand guidelines.
-Ensures that all work product adheres to Nestlé Design Global Ways of Working, including use of all digital tools (D2D, Frontify, DAM), and collaborates with other IMS teams for tagging of assets.
-Acts as partner to Global Design Team and MSE IT to continuously enhance Brand Identity workflows and tools.
-Contributes to Global Color Management ambitions to reduce complexity while improving consistency and quality.
What will make you successful • 3+ years in brand identity design creation and adaptation, with experience developing guidelines in English for brands that include packaging amongst its touchpoints.
• Experience with Global Brands is highly appreciated, and empathy for localization requirements while staying coherent with global brand objectives.
• Experience producing fit-for-purpose or adaptation assets and master files.
• Solid understanding of design requirements for print and digital applications, ideally with experience with color management.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or related design field.
• Excellent collaborator, especially with virtual partners across time zones and cultures.
• High level of proficiency with Adobe CC, motion, or video editing skills a bonus.
• Experience with digital workflows, DAMs, and collaborative tools desired.
• High standard of English (written and spoken).
• Eye for design detail and passion for driving understanding and consistency.
