About The Role Reporting to the Senior Director of Technology Enablement, the Associate Director of Partner Engagement Services will help shape and implement our managed service offering, Cloud Platform offerings, ensuring that our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with Boston Scientific's (BSC) business objectives.
Accountable for shaping, nurturing, and maximizing the partnership between BSC and key managed service partners.
You will need to be an innovative thinker, technically savvy, and a strategic problem-solver.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing service providers and service integrators, applying architecture concepts in an agile environment, understanding business challenges, and recommending best practices.
You will collaborate across multiple IT Function partners, enterprise architecture, and cross-functional teams to meet business needs and deliver value.
Your Responsibilities Will Include.
Integrated Roadmap Development.
Collaborate with partners to ensure an understanding of business objectives and evolving technology trends.
Inspire creativity and continuous improvement in managed services and cloud strategies to enhance organizational efficiency.
Develop a comprehensive integrated roadmap for cloud platforms in a multi-cloud environment.
Develop a plan to lead application hosting from On-Prem to cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS).
Oversee the lifecycle management of cloud technologies, ensuring updates, optimizations, and retirements.
Implement best practices for monitoring, scaling, and optimizing cloud resources to meet performance and cost targets.
Vendor Management.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure that service levels and contractual obligations are met.
Oversee the performance, relationship, Financial, engagement, and outcome for CTS’s Stakeholders Day to Day execution of managed services with managed services partners Contractual ownership for main managed service and cloud providers (AWS, Azure) Project Management Office Collaborate with internal and external project managers to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
Support project planning, including establishing deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning project team members to different deliveries.
Ensure regular communication with stakeholders.
Manage risks (financial, human, technical).
anticipation, identification, implementation of corrective actions Collaborate with team leads and project members on project-related initiatives, meeting regularly to review project status, identify issues, work to resolve them, and maintain project plans.
Monitor progress against plans and schedules, identify and resolve issues, and update project plans as needed.
Evaluate projects to ensure they meet firm standards, adhere to budgets and strategy, and meet deadlines.
Analyze project performance by defining KPIs and developing reports.
Analysis of financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps.
Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices.
Integrate SRE and DevOps methodologies into cloud platform management for enhanced reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Hands-on experience with tools commonly used in SRE and DevOps, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, and others.
Experience fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams to achieve continuous integration, delivery, and deployment goals.
Solution Architecture.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure that cloud solutions align with business requirements and security standards.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inspire creativity in solution architecture.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure cloud initiatives align with overarching architecture principles.
Guide the integration of cloud technologies into the existing IT landscape.
Manage the development of solution architectures for new IT projects using cloud technologies.
Financial Management.
Responsible for managed services budget Maintain budgeting principles to improve managed services and cloud spending while ensuring performance and scalability.
Collaborate with finance teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and cost models for service initiatives.
Monitor and report on managed services-related financial metrics.
Understanding of the shift from Capex to Opex and being able to guide consumers on the cloud platform.
Team Leadership.
Manage a high-performing team of IT professionals with internal and external team members.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Build relationships across BSC and Managed Service partner organizations Manage and resolve day-to-day operational issues with the team Your Skills & Experience Minimum bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
Master's degree and related certifications are desirable.
years of experience in, the health care / Lifescience industry a plus.
Experience (10+ years) in a senior leadership role in managing services with third-party managed service partners Deep understanding of cloud platforms in a multi-cloud environment.
Led the transformation of data centers to cloud platforms on a large scale.
Background in solution architecture, focusing on cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.
Demonstrated experience developing integrated roadmaps for cloud platforms.
Understanding of DevOps, SecOps, InfraOps, fundamentals, and their application in cloud environments.
