Martins Research Group functions as a cohesive, multifaceted engineering team that promotes the INL’s core R&D&I skills, in particular in the area of system engineering.
It aims to expand the installed capacities for an interdisciplinary approach to transform concepts into high quality nanotechnology-based products and services.
For this position, INL is seeking an Application & Systems Integration Engineer to reinforce M.
Martins Research Group under the PRR framework.
Job Duties The job duties will be the following.
Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems developed by the hardware team; Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software; Develop Embedded FPGA solutions to accelerate high throughput data applications; Develop Cyberphysical Systems leading to larger SoC; Develop edge AI concepts for local data processing including the support for machine learning and neural networks software.
Mandatory Qualifications   Education MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant subject is required.
Experience and Technical Skills Professional experience of at least 5 years in the industry field; Solid programming experience in C or C++; Hands-on development and troublesh ooting on embedded targets (e.
., ARM); Knowledge of OS coding techniques, interfaces and hardware subsystems; HDL coding for FPGA digital design (i.
., Verilog or VHDL); Ability to develop embedded electronics firmware, and develop advanced processing algorithms, such as neural networks and artificial intelligence algorithms in systems with few resources.
