AGILE DELIVERY MANAGER

Position Description.
You will oversee all aspects of software development for a software development team.
You will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in line with programme standards.
You will be responsible for software delivery using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.
In performing the role, you will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience of agile development approaches to fit large and complex projects and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility, predictability, and quality.
Your background in delivering multiple agile projects directly will ensure that you are capable of managing teams.
This role will involve extensive interaction with customers and senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills are essential combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to manage expectations and issues effectively and establish/maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Carry out responsibilities of an Agile Delivery Manager with multiple teams at the same time.
• Provide support to teams using servant leadership style • Implement and promote use of agile methodology within the team • Facilitate agile ceremonies including iteration planning, iteration review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups • Manage agile teams on a daily basis and ensure on time and on budget project delivery • Guide the development team on how to integrate agile ceremonies and values into daily work.
• Apply techniques for effective workflow visualization and management (e.
.
Kanban or Scrum Boards) • Work with the business product owner and BA to establish and maintain the roadmap and sprint plans for the product to be delivered • Ensure that standards, such as continuous integration, automated testing and code quality are adhered to.
• Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management • Prepare and distribute regular reports including burn-down charts and other key metrics as required by the client delivery methodology • Track and report financials using client mandated tools (E.
.
Clarity) and ensure the projects are delivered within budget.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Essential Skills & Capability • 8-10 years of demonstratable experience in delivering client projects using Agile and waterfall methodologies • Strong experience in delivering projects of large size and high complexity in a high- tech development environment with cross functional teams.
• Expert knowledge of using Agile and waterfall delivery methodology • Experience of working in a continuous integration environment • Experience in implementing enterprise-level application development projects in a hybrid environment • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams, including solution architect, developers, test & business analyst • Ability to apply creative approach to problem-solving with focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view, removing blockers and delivering working software in line with business owners direction • Have sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues • Experience in delivering projects in a technology led environment and have a background in development or testing or analysis • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands • Experience in interacting with C-level client stakeholders • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
• Skill in using Jira, Confluence, other analytical software tools, and reporting techniques • Experience of BDD (Behavior-driven development) and TDD (Test-driven development) is a plus #LI-NB5 Skills.
