We are looking for an Access & Value Manager who will play a crucial role on delivering patient access to innovative therapies, working in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to design, select and implement strategies that enable our company to meet its strategic and business goals.
Operationally, will manage, prepare and develop reimbursement dossiers and supporting documentation (clinical added value, pricing, economic value) for health authorities and payers, as well as evidence generation and value tools.
The selected candidate will report to the Associate Director, Access & Value Lead and should also contribute to secure favorable and sustainable public policies on access to healthcare.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities.
• Through long term analysis of the market, builds price and reimbursement strategies that will ensure competitive positioning of our drugs, throughout their whole lifecycle.
• Develop and implement the strategy to promote the value propositions in the designated therapeutic areas.
• Through analysis of the therapeutic value of our innovative drugs vs.
their expected impact on the health budget, propose price and reimbursement modalities that will allow fair pricing and favorable reimbursement conditions for the patients who need them.
• Identify data gaps and prepare and executes the necessary outcome research data to support therapeutic areas during it’s lifecycle.
• Understand and use several sorts of information, such as medical, epidemiological and economic to prepare documents to support the value proposition of our products and support interactions with the various stakeholders in the reimbursement and access processes at national and hospital levels.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration, ensuring access integration into brand team priorities.
• Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues from External Affairs, Pricing, Outcomes Research, Regulatory, Marketing, Medical and Market Research, to ensure alignment on market access strategies, coordinate local actions and ensure the collection and analysis of useful observational or market research data.
• Advise the Global/Regional Access Teams and Regional Outcomes/CORE teams on data that will be needed locally for the products in the pipeline according to their lifecycle.
• Benchmark, share best practices and interact efficiently with colleagues from other countries, the region or headquarters.
• Contribute to an optimal labelling of new products, together with the Regulatory Affairs Manager and the concerned Product Manager/Medical Affairs Manager, in order to guarantee a smooth registration/pricing/reimbursement process.
• Create innovative contracting opportunities and development of customer and target-oriented access models.
• Collaborate internally to shape public policies on access.
• Monitor, anticipate and analyze opportunities and threats with regards to company’s product portfolio and product pipeline.
Education & Experience.
• Master degree in Health/Science/Economics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar functions.
• Experience in reimbursement management, pricing, and Pharmacoeconomics, with good knowledge of processes/rules/regulation in Portugal.
• Good insight of the market access environment and key customers, strong interest in health policies and the healthcare system in general.
• Business acumen, with a solid track record of working in the access.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical business and related healthcare policies.
• Strong strategic thinking skills to anticipate & prepare for potential negative trends or opportunities that could impact our company.
• Fluent in English.

• Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including excel.
