TDC, under the scope of an indefinite term working contract, overseen by the Portuguese legal Work Code.
Work Objectives The work objectives envisioned for this position are.
Leadership in the task aiming to define scenarios and architecture In this task the scenario for the radar network will be defined including architecture, channel models, and definition of the main KPIs to evaluate the performance.
One important component in the architecture will be the data repository and learning mechanisms for ML (Machine Learning) and cognition, to enable a trade-off between the conventional “model-based” design paradigm and the data-based ones involving learning and environment adaptively.
Leadership in task involving waveform design and cooperative algorithms.
These will include 1) joint waveforms for radar and communications 2) distributed sensing compression at the nodes; 3) joint processing of the compressed data at a fusion center.
The work will also include interaction with the other tasks, namely machine learning, synchronization and implementation-oriented activities.
As part of these activities, it is expected that the researcher co-supervises MSc and PhD students as well as participate in the writing of novel research proposals.
Place of Work The workplace shall be at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Polo de Aveiro, Campus Universitário de Santiago, Aveiro.
Duration An indefinite term working contract.
Monthly Salary The monthly remuneration to be attributed corresponds to the position of Junior Researcher with the remuneration of euros.
