SR. JAVA/AWS BACKEND DEVELOPER WITH PYTHON

Position Description.
CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Java/AWS Backend Developer with Python to join our team in Reston, VA, Columbia, SC or Knoxville, TN.
This position can also be performed remotely in any city where CGI has an office.
The Senior Java/AWS Backend Developer with Python is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry.

We are seeking a strong senior Java/ AWS developer with Python experience to join our team and lead the development effort from analysis to delivery.
• Building applications using Java spring boot • Process the XML/JSON files from events and facilitate seamless data with business logic transformation • Transmission to downstream consumers.
• Collaborate with client to understand business requirement and translate them into technical specifications, develop design documents.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developer, and provide technical guidance to the team and implement best practices for coding, testing, documentation and deployment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Proficient in designing & developing microservices based architecture.
• 8+ years of experience in SDLC, Strong understanding of Event driven and asynchronous programming concepts.
• Hands On Experience with Microservices, File I/O operations handling, data parsing and transformation and familiarity with SFTP protocol and integration mechanisms.
• 8+ years of Hands-on experience in Java 17+, Spring Security, Spring boot, Spring-JPA, microservices, docker, • Around 3+ years of Hands-on experience in Python programming.
• AWS (SQS/SNS, File protocols (SFTP, FTPS), ECS), Oracle DB, Junit, Mockito, RestAssured, Cucumber • Experiences in full life cycle application/system development • Experience developing in distributed application environments (Database, Transaction Management) • Experience/knowledge of AWS development and services • Experience with Application integrations (SOAP/REST Web Services, ESB, JMS, File/Data transfers, etc.) • Familiar with GIT repositories (Bit Bucket) and Agile Methodology/SCRUM/Kanban/UCD, Terraform, Docker/Container basics • Source Code Control/Feature Branching/CICD Pipeline Basics, Version Control • Experience with Jenkins and GIT– Foundational Education.
