SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Position Description.
As Solution Architect working in the Application Management Delivery role, you are responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that meet the business requirements and objectives of an organization.
Your primary focus is on managing and delivering application-related projects and initiatives.
Here are some key responsibilities as Solution Architect in an Application Management Delivery role at NCC delivery.
1.
Solution Design.
Collaborating with stakeholders including business analysts, project managers, and development teams to understand the business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
This involves creating comprehensive solution design documents that outline the architecture, components, data flow, integration points, security measures, and performance considerations.
2.
System Integration.
Identifying opportunities for system integration to ensure seamless communication and data exchange between applications.
This includes evaluating existing systems and technologies within the organization's IT landscape to determine compatibility and feasibility.
3.
Technology Evaluation.
Conducting research on emerging technologies, frameworks, platforms, and tools to assess their suitability for meeting the organization's application management objectives.
This involves analyzing costs, benefits, risks, scalability factors, vendor support options, and alignment with industry best practices.
4.
Technical Leadership.
Providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle by collaborating with cross-functional teams such as developers, testers, infrastructure specialists to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
You will also provide mentorship or training sessions for development teams on new technologies or architectural principles.
5.
Performance Optimization.
Analyzing application performance metrics during different stages of development or post-production phases to identify bottlenecks or areas for optimization.
This includes recommending improvements or changes related to infrastructure setup (servers/networks), code optimization techniques (caching mechanisms), database queries optimization (indexing strategies), or other relevant optimizations.

Risk Mitigation.
Identifying potential risks related to security vulnerabilities, compliance issues or technology limitations in proposed solutions and providing recommendations for mitigating those risks effectively.
7.
echnical Documentation.
Creating detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams/specifications/user guides that are understandable by both technical team members as well as non-technical stakeholders like project managers or business users.
8.
Ensure technical guidelines are followed and practiced and shared between the different development teams and members in the AM team delivery.
9.
As solution architect within the AM delivery you will also be asked to do development in few applications currently maintained within the AM delivery.
