In this role, you'll spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of critical infrastructure, APIs, and tools that power our games and support our partners.
With a focus on scalability, durability, and cost efficiency, you'll collaborate with teams across FRVR to deliver high-performance solutions that shape the future of gaming.
Challenges & Responsibilities Build and maintain infrastructure, APIs, and tooling for games, partners, and internal teams.
Design, develop, and maintain services handling tens of thousands of requests per second.
Emphasize scalability, durability, and cost efficiency in service development.
Collaborate with all FRVR partners and departments Develop mission-critical tools and services supporting various domains and industries Enable global distribution of work to millions of players.
We are looking for someone with.
Go and Typescript RPC frameworks such as gRPC, TRPC, and Thrift NoSQL and SQL databases, as well as in-memory databases like Redis Async messaging architecture with message queues and pub subs such as Kafka, RabbitMQ and NATS Jetstream Elasticsearch or alternative search engines such as Meilisearch or Mongo Atlas search Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud, Helm Distributed systems, microservice and serverless architecture Websockets, WebTransport & Server Sent Events Javascript build tools such as Vite Principles of authorization, authentication and access management Familiarity with functional programming Benchmarking, profiling and performance tuning Web security and API security best practices Telemetry and monitoring with Prometheus / Grafana Workflow automation with GitHub Actions CI/CD & GitOps pipelines such as ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins Terraform and infrastructure as code   If you also have these experiences, it will be a bonus.
Front-end development with HTML, CSS and JS Domain knowledge of both single-player and multiplayer games Game-specific service knowledge Rust and WebAssembly Python, data modelling and transformations through DBT AI / ML, Vector databases and vector search UI frameworks such as Vue and Svelte, as well as modern CSS tooling such as Tailwind and PostCSS Open Match & Agones Game server paradigms such as authoritative vs relay Rust and WebAssembly Python, data modelling and transformations through DBT AI / ML, Vector databases and vector search What else you should know (Perks).
