SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER

Position Description.
CGI is looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join our financial services team and provide world class, hands-on expertise to our top tier US bank clients.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Develop application code and unite tests using Java 8 and above, springboot, and other technologies.
• Document customizations, configurations, and integrations for reference and support.
• Communication with client stakeholders and partners • Ensuring that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
• Iterative development on an agile team.
• Daily agile active SCRUM participation • Lead and mentor other developers on the team or in other teams within the client.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 12+ years’ experience as Java developer.
• Strong fundamental knowledge and experience on java 8 & above along with java frameworks such as spring & spring boot.
• Experience writing unit tests in junit (junit 4/5) • Experience in reactive programing using spring webflux • Experience in mongodb with ability to write both basic & complex queries • Experience in apache kafka • Experience in MQ (IBM MQ preferred) • Experience in Rest & Soap Services using spring framework • Experience with GIT (bitbucket) • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins • Build tool experience preferably with Maven & Gradle • Experience with Docker • Understanding of Agile development methodologies • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong ability to adapt and learn new skills and technologies on the fly.
