Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented US Payroll Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of payroll processes specific to the United States.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities Process bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Time keeping.
validate accuracy and completeness of employee data in regard to work time, sick time, vacation time, overtime etc.
Data Entry.
Enter payroll data into the payroll system (workday), including commissions, awards, terminations, severance pay, court orders (garnishments) Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness, including reviewing timesheets, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.
Address employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters, including pay discrepancies, tax withholdings, and deductions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to stakeholders as needed.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring compliance with tax authorities.
Assist with year-end payroll processing and all associated tasks.
Education and Experience Requirements Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or HR Understanding payroll requirements, and experience in payroll processing is preferred.
Understanding of end-to-end business process and controls and process improvement driven Willing to work in a multicultural environment.
Strong proficiency with productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Workday knowledge is highly valued.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, Very good English skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
