MARKET OPERATION SPECIALIST

GEM (Global Energy Management) is the EDP Group's global energy management platform and is recruiting for the position of Energy Markets Professional in the Iberian Markets team, whose mission is to coordinate the management of the market supply of generation capacity of the EDP group at Iberian level, in the daily and intraday markets for energy and services, ensuring the maximization of revenues generated under conditions of operational efficiency and regulatory control.
To support us in this role, we are recruiting for the  Iberian Markets Department.
Job Description.
Commercial exploration of the EDP portfolio (hydro, thermal, wind and solar) in the Iberian Electricity Market/ Mercado Ibérico de Eletricidade (OMIE).
Analysis and elaboration of energy purchase and sale offers in the different markets (daily, intraday and continuous market) with relatively limited execution times.
Performance in the system services markets (Secondary and Tertiary Regulation).
What we are looking for.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering, or other, provided you have knowledge in Energy/ Electrical Area; Professional experience of up to 5 years, preferably in areas related to the electricity sector; Experience in negotiation activities is valued, as well as knowledge of the energy business and the electricity market; Mandatory knowledge of English and Office, with emphasis on knowledge of Spanish; Availability to work on-site in shifts with rotating breaks (mandatory); Motivation and reasoning ability, resistance to pressure and stress, decision-making ability and ability to deal with a lot of information simultaneously, are mandatory skills for this function.
