Title and Summary Lead Product Manager- Technical Overview.
Digital Authentication Service is new program that is going to provide single authentication solution for all the digital payments product of MasterCard.
It is going to simply and secure checkout experience for our customers.
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager Technical (PMT) lead to join our Digital Authentication Service (DAS) team and take responsibility for the delivery of product features and new fundability within DAS.
The ideal candidate would exhibit core product management skillset, in-depth understanding of technical product delivery process (software and managed services), strong program management mindset, and proven ability to manage stakeholders and build strong collaboration between product and engineering teams.
Role.
This is a technical role and works closely with Technical Program Managers, Software Design Engineers, User Experience, and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements, the specifications, and the user experience for the digital authentication services they own.
This role uses the Working Backwards process, which is all about is fleshing out the concept and achieving clarity of thought about what will ultimately be built.
This role decomposes the requirements into features and user stories, prioritizing the backlog, and defining the acceptance criteria.
You are in it for the long term, looking beyond the current project, becoming recognised as an expert in your digital authentication services domain.
This role feeds engineering a well-groomed backlog of user stories.
They encourage re-use of their services, continuously innovating on behalf of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities • End-to-end management of functional and non-functional requirements • Perform technical analysis of product and underlying technology to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met • Work with technical team to determine development impact, scope and sizing of the efforts • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, including product owners, solution designers, UX designers, engineering teams, program management office, business operations and support teams, technical writers, commercialization teams, to develop and deliver product enhancements • Prepare and facilitate the requirements and design iteration session, Lead review sessions, elaborate high level business requirements into technical specifications and inputs required for solution design and development stages.
Conduct QE demos • Provide technical support to product owners • Assist in the development of conceptual designs and mocking up screens, Create design considerations that assist team with front-end changes • Work with testing teams to develop and execute complex test plans and ensure product readiness • Manage defect resolution process and support timely resolution of defects, errors, and escalations • Manage release planning, prioritization, capacity management, work allocation to engineering teams • Ensure compliance with the company policies, processes, and governance • Track, manage and escalate if required risks and dependencies • Prepare support materials and product documentation • Deliver regular training and updates to support teams • Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to other team members Role requirements.
• Technical product management experience in B2B applications and services • Strong technical knowledge and capability • Demonstration of Agile concepts and implementation • High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment • High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization and project management skills • Ability to work with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams and vendors • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education • 5+ years professional experience with demonstrable track record • Skilled in using Confluence, Jira, AHA, Domo, Figma or similar tools All about you.
• Extensive experience in payment authentication standards, including EMV 3DS and PSD2 specifications.
• Extensive Product Manager experience as the Product Owner within a Scrum Team and Agile-based company.
• Extensive experience in working with (preferably defining and implementing) E-Commerce Platform APIs and Services.
• Ability to work across functions, product team and technical delivery teams, collaborating, negotiating and influencing across these contexts • Work day-to-day with Scrum Teams as the Product Owner.
• Strong communication skills, able to articulate clear written feature definitions, acceptance criteria and make compelling presentations • Experience building complex business and/or transactional models in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role • Can deliver high quality technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases • Proven ability to lead in a matrix environment • Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy • Experience and proficiency with cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, serverless technology, NoSQL databases), microservice design, near real-time, scalable fault tolerant platform design, API design, and distributed systems operations in a DevOps model • Experience with XP, TDD and BDD in the software development processes • Proven track record of data driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams • Comprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.) and CI/CD • Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity • Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of the individual engineers across the organization • Deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide technical solutions to customer problems Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must.
